From the product or from the meaning?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"875\">This initial choice determines the entire development of the project, much more than one is led to believe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"1056\">Over time, two opposing models have become established:<br data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"930\" \/><strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"947\">factory-first<\/strong> e <strong data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"965\">brand-first<\/strong>. They are not abstract philosophies. They are decision-making systems with very concrete consequences.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1125\">The factory-first model: efficiency as a starting point<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1188\">In the factory-first model, design comes from production.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1224\">It starts with what is available:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1332\">\n<li data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1248\">\n<p data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1248\">standard components<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1281\">\n<p data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1281\">already industrialized formats<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1306\">\n<p data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1306\">optimized processes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1332\">\n<p data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1332\">costs under control<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1388\">The brand is built <strong data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1370\">around<\/strong> to these constraints.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1528\">This approach has its own logic. It is efficient. It reduces initial operational risk. It allows you to enter the market quickly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1530\" data-end=\"1573\">And that is why it is still widespread. The problem emerges in the medium term.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1660\">The structural limitations of factory-first<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1718\">When branding arises as a consequence of production:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1823\">\n<li data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1756\">\n<p data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"1756\">the price is adjusted to the cost<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1790\">\n<p data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1790\">design bends to constraints<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"1823\">\n<p data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1823\">positioning remains vague<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1873\">The result is a correct but fragile product.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1875\" data-end=\"1890\">Fragile because:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1891\" data-end=\"1988\">\n<li data-start=\"1891\" data-end=\"1917\">\n<p data-start=\"1893\" data-end=\"1917\">easily replicable<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1918\" data-end=\"1955\">\n<p data-start=\"1920\" data-end=\"1955\">difficult to defend on price<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1956\" data-end=\"1988\">\n<p data-start=\"1958\" data-end=\"1988\">hardly recognizable over time<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2072\">In factory-first, the quality is often high. But the perceived difference is low. And in a market where quality is now an entry threshold, this becomes a serious problem.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2178\" data-end=\"2230\">The brand-first model: meaning as a guide<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2232\" data-end=\"2279\">In the brand-first model, the sequence reverses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2281\" data-end=\"2309\">It starts with different questions:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2483\">\n<li data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2351\">\n<p data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2351\">What should this brand represent?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2352\" data-end=\"2381\">\n<p data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2381\">Who does it really address?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2430\">\n<p data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2430\">What price must it credibly bear?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2483\">\n<p data-start=\"2433\" data-end=\"2483\">What kind of experience should he build over time?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2485\" data-end=\"2551\">Only after clarifying these elements do we enter production. Production does not disappear. It simply changes its role. From constraint it becomes <strong data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"2640\">lever<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2694\">Why brand-first is no less efficient<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2696\" data-end=\"2752\">One of the most common misconceptions is that brand-first is:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2753\" data-end=\"2803\">\n<li data-start=\"2753\" data-end=\"2768\">\n<p data-start=\"2755\" data-end=\"2768\">more expensive<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2769\" data-end=\"2782\">\n<p data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2782\">slower<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2783\" data-end=\"2803\">\n<p data-start=\"2785\" data-end=\"2803\">less industrial<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2805\" data-end=\"2858\">In reality, in the medium to long term, the opposite happens.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2860\" data-end=\"2884\">A brand-first project:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2885\" data-end=\"2999\">\n<li data-start=\"2885\" data-end=\"2908\">\n<p data-start=\"2887\" data-end=\"2908\">reduces revisions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2909\" data-end=\"2939\">\n<p data-start=\"2911\" data-end=\"2939\">avoids costly second thoughts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2940\" data-end=\"2963\">\n<p data-start=\"2942\" data-end=\"2963\">builds consistency<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2964\" data-end=\"2999\">\n<p data-start=\"2966\" data-end=\"2999\">Makes choices more defensible<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3001\" data-end=\"3090\">Efficiency is not eliminated. It is displaced <strong data-start=\"3052\" data-end=\"3063\">upstream<\/strong>, in the decision-making process.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3097\" data-end=\"3124\">Efficiency versus value<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3126\" data-end=\"3222\">Factory-first optimizes immediate efficiency. Brand-first builds value over time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3224\" data-end=\"3265\">Efficiency is copyable. Value is not. And this is where the real competitive difference is created.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3326\" data-end=\"3340\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3342\" data-end=\"3448\">In today's market, starting with production means chasing. Starting with the brand means leading.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3450\" data-end=\"3518\">Factory-first creates products.
