{"id":14818,"date":"2026-05-21T15:29:01","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T13:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/boldfactory.it\/?p=14818"},"modified":"2026-05-21T15:34:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T13:34:46","slug":"14818-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boldfactory.it\/en\/14818-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching as a way of learning"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>Training day held at the Italian Perfumery Institute<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">We had the pleasure of holding a training day at the Italian Perfumery Institute, together with Paolo Roselli and Federico Huscher, dedicated to one of the themes that we believe is most central in contemporary perfumery:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The difference between a product and a project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Partendo dal modello di produzione chiavi in mano tra Private Label e Full Service Made in Italy, il confronto con gli studenti si \u00e8 sviluppato attorno a una riflessione molto concreta: oggi, realizzare un buon prodotto non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 sufficiente.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>The change in contemporary perfumery<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">In recent years, the perfume market has changed profoundly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The average quality of products has improved.<br \/>\nAccess to suppliers has become democratized.<br \/>\nCreative possibilities have expanded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This means that the value no longer solely lies in the ability to \u201ccreate a perfume.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The real theme is to build a project that can work in the market.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>Product vs. Project<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">During the lesson, we delved into a fundamental distinction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">A product is an object. A project is a system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">A system that must hold together:<br \/>\n- Positioning<br \/>\n\u2013 pricing<br \/>\nindustrial development<br \/>\nPackaging<br \/>\nsupply chain<br \/>\ndistribution<br \/>\noperational sustainability<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Many projects fail not because the product is weak, but because there is a lack of coherence between these elements. And it is precisely this coherence that today determines the real strength of a brand.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>The Role of the Full Service Model<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">One of the central themes addressed during the day was the role of the Full Service model within contemporary perfumery. For a long time, the market operated through fragmented structures:<br \/>\n\u2013 separate designers<br \/>\nseparate manufacturers<br \/>\n\u2013 separate suppliers<br \/>\n\u2013 separate consultants<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This model works as long as the complexity is limited.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">But when:<br \/>\n\u2013 volumes increase<br \/>\n\u2013 markets are increasing<br \/>\nreferences increase<br \/>\n\u2013 Operating expectations increase<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Fragmentation inevitably generates friction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The Full Service model was created precisely to reduce this complexity through integrated phase management. Not as a simple operational simplification, but as a strategic alignment tool.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>Made in Italy as infrastructure<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">Another point explored in depth concerns the true meaning of Made in Italy. Very often it is interpreted solely as an aesthetic or creative value. In reality, Made in Italy represents above all a unique industrial infrastructure:<br \/>\n\u2013 production chain<br \/>\ntechnical know-how<br \/>\nFlexibility<br \/>\nmanufacturing culture<br \/>\n\u2013 development speed<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">This integration is what makes Italy one of the world's leading hubs for cosmetics and perfumery even today.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><b>Form a new generation that is more aware<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\">One of the most interesting aspects of the day was the students' level of attention to the sector's structural dynamics.
